Fireworks - 9:45 pm

A dazzling fireworks display will light up the Mississauga night sky to cap off the Canada Day Together Festival. The explosive finale will be set to music, amplified through the sound system on the festival stage near McDowell Drive.


Evening Entertainment - 7:00 pm

The Festival welcomes multiple performers from a variety of styles, cultures and backgrounds.

Latintrain is a group of talented musicians who decided to collaborate to create a mix of Latinamerican sounds: a vibrant melting pot of Latin rhythms such as Bolero, Folklore, Joropo, with a strong jazz influence and lyrics in both Spanish and English. These “amigos” have been playing all around the GTA, proudly representing their roots and spreading the latin vibe in festivals like, Carabram, Panamerican Jazz Festival, Inti Raimy and many more.


Michael Ciufo

Michael Ciufo is a homegrown Ward 10 talent, quickly becoming one of Canada’s greatest singing treasures.  Acclaimed for his vocal prowess, his live performances consistently leave audiences wanting more.  His career began at an early age, studying the piano at the age of six.  Over the years, he also added guitar, and percussion to his playing skill set.  Committed to masterfully developing his talents, he studied at the Glenn Gould School of Music at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Demonstrating his remarkable versatility, Michael’s expanding repertoire includes timeless gems from Broadway and film with crowd-pleasing current hits, while maintaining the integrity of his classical roots.  His ever expanding repertoire includes songs in English, Italian, French, Spanish, and German. 


Gabru Rangeelay Bhangra

Energetic and entertaining dance performances with Bhangra instruments that are sure to keep audiences on their feet.



Salaatul Maghrib - 9:00 pm

A fast-breaking observance is being integrated into the festival to offer a unique cultural experience for those who choose to participate.  The 15-minute ceremony led by Muslim Neighbour Nexus will include the distribution of a complimentary fast-breaking package, including dates and samosas, for all festival attendees to enjoy and Salaatul Maghrib for those who choose to observe it.


BBQ for Change

Hamburgers and hot dogs (halal) will be available for purchase during the evening entertainment from 8 to 9:30 pm or until supplies last. Only a twoonie - includes water. All funds will support the local foodbank: Eden Food For Change. Ice cream vendors will also be at the park selling their sweet treats.

Daytime Entertainment - 12 noon

The ICNA Sisters Canada are organizing the daytime programming  for the festival. Family-friendly activities include bouncy castles, face-painting, petting zoo, roaming magic, and plenty of free food.

MiWay extends bus service for Canada Day

Please consider walking, cycling or taking public transit to the Canada Day Together Festival on July 1st. We have arranged for an extra bus trip on Route 41 Thomas departing shortly after the conclusion of the fireworks. For this slightly modified route, the bus will be staged on McDowell Drive near Delle Donne Drive, head east toward Tenth Line, then Tenth Line to Thomas Street where it will pick up the normal route, ending at the Erin Mills Town Centre. Normal fares apply, including the senior $1 cash fare.
